Heather Gray

Heather Gray is the owner and principal of TAMA Consulting, a workplace violence, interpersonal violence and threat assessment consulting company. She is a consultant, corporate trainer, conference and keynote speaker relative to all areas of expertise.

Heather’s background includes 20 years in law enforcement in a high-crime urban area and includes front-line patrol, crisis/hostage negotiation in conjunction with the tactical unit, critical incident peer team founder and member and a multitude of secondments and special projects and high profile investigations. Heather served as a forensic child abuse investigator in an integrated child abuse unit working with specially trained social workers, physicians and prosecutors. She also served in the media relations unit and earned several outstanding commendations throughout her career. Heather is sought after for her  communication skills, her attention to detail and her innate ability to work as a respected leader as well as a talented team member.  She is an experienced threat assessment and case management expert who has garnered a lengthy track record of successfully and safely concluding high-stakes, life-threatening situations. Heather is a keynote and conference speaker, corporate trainer, and consultant to all manner of organizations and industries, serving high-level executives, mid-management and front line workers. As a skilled subject matter expert, she is keenly knowledgeable and conversant regarding all matters relevant to the issues of workplace violence, aberrant behaviour with overt or subtle threats, bullying/mobbing, abuses of power/authority/processes, sensitive  dismissals and layoffs, domestic violence in the workplace and stalking.

Heather has been a contributing writer to Blue Line Magazine, Canada’s National Law Enforcement Magazine and her writings have been published in numerous periodicals, journals, e-zines and newsletters. She also served as a distance learning instructor for the Police Leadership Certificate Program at Dalhousie University in Halifax Nova Scotia
